With a decade of dedicated service in the Prince George's County
Police Department—spending one year as a detective and nine
years in patrol—Mirian “Bev” Perez brings a wealth of experience
and insight into the unique challenges faced by law enforcement
professionals. After her service, Bev transformed her career into a
Trauma, Grief and Love Expert, empowering individuals and
fostering personal growth through her, self-entitled coaching business.
Leveraging her extensive background in law enforcement, Bev uniquely positions herself as a consultant and trainer for police agencies nationwide. Her expertise in peer support, grief, and leadership addresses the pressing mental health needs of first responders. She has successfully facilitated numerous wellness groups, equipping officers with strategies to enhance resilience and emotional well-being.
As a sought-after speaker at prominent conferences such as the Mental Health Summit, the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives, and the New Jersey Police Benevolent Association, Bev is recognized for her ability to connect with audiences and inspire change.
Bev holds prestigious certifications from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and the state of Florida in peer support, along with specialized training in Law Enforcement Psychological Autopsy, Certified Interventionist, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. She earned a master’s in social work from Barry University in Miami and aims to pursue a doctorate, further deepening her impact on mental health within the law enforcement community.
