5 reasons to wake up at 5am
How changing my daily routine, changed my life.
What time should I wake up- 5am?
“5am the hour legends are either waking up or going to sleep.”
Trust me, when I read about this...I said to myself "there is no way I am waking up at 5am for anything."
How has waking up at 5am changed my life.
Believe me when I say I was not always a morning person and somedays I still struggle and hit the snooze button. The key here is to not be so hard on yourself and benefit from every "5am" wake up. One tip that helped me was journaling, it is really cool to look back and read versions of the "old you" as you started this 5am journey and you will gain perspective on areas of improvement.
My 5am Routine:
“One key to success is to have lunch at the time of day most people have breakfast”
Waking up a 5-5:30am
Make my bed
Morning Mantra "Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Breath Work: conscious, controlled breathing done especially for relaxation, meditation, or therapeutic purposes
Wash my face, brush my teeth
Hydrate
Yoga Sun-Salutation or dynamic movement
20 minute meditation
45mins-1 hour work out
Cold Shower (YES COLD SHOWER lol)
Breakfast
Read for 30 minutes
Journal (Gratitude Journal & "To-Do, To-Be & To-Feel Journal)
I do all of this before 9am with a fresh start, head start and positive outlook for my day.
Get Inspired
The benefits to this process:

Overall betterment of my Mental Health and Wellness
Show up more powerfully in my relationships
Set the right tone for my day
Getting to sleep earlier at night
More energized therefore are able to tackle those things I had been putting off
As an entrepreneur, this has helped me so much in the growth of my businesses. It's starting my day with a fresh start, fresh mindset and positive outlook. I have gotten so many great business ideas, head starts on projects, purchases, budgets etc. It feels absolutely amazing to get my self care in first thing in the morning and still have the rest of my day. It's no wonder why this is called "the millionaire morning routine".
My recommendation to start your 5am morning routine:
Don't have your alarm right next to your bed... if you are using your phone, place it away from your bed, this way you have to get up to get to it.
Have a plan, what are you going to start with?
Have work out plan ready
Get enough sleep
If you are working the graveyard shift the concept, however instead of waking up at 5am it might be 1 or 2pm.
Good luck mates, you got this! Let me know how it goes.
