Mind Body Skills 

Our Mind Body Skills Group is designed to provide individuals with a safe and supportive space to explore the mind-body connection and learn techniques for managing stress and promoting overall well-being. This group will consist of weekly meetings where participants will engage in various mind-body exercises, such as guided meditation, breathing techniques, and gentle movement practices.

The purpose of this group is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of how their thoughts and emotions can impact their physical health and vice versa. By learning how to better cope with stress and manage their emotions, participants can improve their overall quality of life and cultivate a sense of inner peace and balance.

Mind-Body 8-Week Series:

 

Week 1: Introduction to Mindfulness

Explanation of mindfulness and its benefits

Introduction to basic mindfulness practices, such as mindful breathing and body scans.

Discussion on how mindfulness can improve overall well-being

Week 2: Understanding Cognitive Practices

Explanation of cognitive practices and how they can impact our thoughts and emotions

Introduction to cognitive restructuring techniques

Group discussion on challenging negative thought patterns.

Week 3: Holistic Approaches to Wellness

Introduction to holistic wellness practices, such as yoga, meditation, and nutrition

Group activity on creating a holistic wellness plan

Discussion on the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Week 4: Mind-Body Connection

Exploration of the mind-body connection and how stress impacts overall health

Introduction to relaxation techniques, such as progressive muscle relaxation and visualization.
